Hospital Singing

Even though a group has gone hospital singing every Sunday for a long time, some sisters were able to participate in a field trip for ward choir and join this group this past Sunday. The group got to enjoy seeing smiles on the faces of those struggling with their health as hymns were sung. It helped us refocus where our focus is in life and to appreciate the health we have. Something so simple as sharing the Spirit through song brought great joy and peace to those we got to sing to. It was wonderful! Keep on singing your hearts out ladies! You never know who you'll touch!

Quilt Tying!

To jump start a summer of service the ward RS presidencies met with the stake RS presidency and we tied 3 quilts! Sorry we didn't take any pictures, but maybe we can find a couple from the stake, they took some...

It was great to tie some quilts and refresh our minds on how to do something so simple and it was amazing how much we accomplished in a short period of time! The stake wasn't sure that we would be able to tie all three quilts in the hour and a half we had. Even with people coming and going, we succeeded in accomplishing this task! It was great to get to know some of the other sisters and work together to help someone else.

Helping Hands Wanted

Sisters! We are so excited for all the service opportunities we will have this summer! Please use this blog to record these experiences. :) Keep in mind the following quote from Sister Burton's talk:

"Between now and the day the Lord comes again, He needs women in every family, in every ward, in every community, in every nation who will step forward in righteousness and say by their words and their actions, 'Here am I, send me.' "My questions is, 'Will you be one of those women? resounding "Yes!" As true disciples, may we offer our willing hearts and our helping hands to hasten His work. It does not matter if we have only one hand. It does not matter if we are not yet perfect and complete. We are devoted disciples who reach out and help each other along the way. Our sisterhood reaches across the generations to those faithful sisters who have walked before. Together, as sisters and in unity with living prophets, seers, and revelators with restored priesthood keys, we can walk as one, as disciples, as servants with willing hearts and hands to hasten the work of salvation. As we do, we will become like the Savior. I so testify in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
