Laura: My visiting teacher Ashley found out I was sick and came over and painted my nails and chatted with me for a couple hours. Then the next day she came and offered to help me clean for cleaning checks and then we watched a movie.
Provo YSA 8th Ward Sistas in Service
The Provo YSA 1st Stake RS theme for the summer is "Helping Hands Wanted" based off of Sister Burton's talk from the General Women's meeting 2014. We want to keep track of the service that our ward does and figured a blog would be great! Please post your experiences as you serve whether small or large, singly or in groups, with words and/or pictures. :)

Happy Father's Day!
Yes, I know this is a super late post, but a shout out to all the wonderful Dad's out there! And to all those who are role models and great examples of great men! We appreciate you!
For Father's Day, several Relief Society sisters gathered together and made boutonnieres for the men in the Provo Rehab center.

Impromptu nail art
I've heard that this has happened more than once and that many more wonderful people were involved, but this is the only picture I have... :)
Some girls were hanging out and painting nails and Stephanie jumped on the bandwagon to paint Abby's toe nails! Way to go girl! And way to go to all those who took turns painting each other's toe nails!

Food warms the Heart
So this last Sunday was break the fast and one of the sisters in the RS wasn't feeling so good and so didn't come to break the fast. Camille was fabulous enough to grab some food and her and Rose went and took the food to this dear sister! I'm sure it helped her feel better - both the food and the company. Way to go sisters!
Roommate Love
I got to help a new roommate move her stuff in this morning! :) She was just dropping her stuff off before spending some time with family so I didn't get a picture, but I'll get one with her when she comes back! :) It was good to help her and get to know her some before she left again. I'm excited to have roommates for the rest of the summer.

Hospital Singing
Even though a group has gone hospital singing every Sunday for a long time, some sisters were able to participate in a field trip for ward choir and join this group this past Sunday. The group got to enjoy seeing smiles on the faces of those struggling with their health as hymns were sung. It helped us refocus where our focus is in life and to appreciate the health we have. Something so simple as sharing the Spirit through song brought great joy and peace to those we got to sing to. It was wonderful! Keep on singing your hearts out ladies! You never know who you'll touch!
Quilt Tying!
To jump start a summer of service the ward RS presidencies met with the stake RS presidency and we tied 3 quilts! Sorry we didn't take any pictures, but maybe we can find a couple from the stake, they took some...
It was great to tie some quilts and refresh our minds on how to do something so simple and it was amazing how much we accomplished in a short period of time! The stake wasn't sure that we would be able to tie all three quilts in the hour and a half we had. Even with people coming and going, we succeeded in accomplishing this task! It was great to get to know some of the other sisters and work together to help someone else.
